CREATIVETECH @ AUCKLAND UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

Gabriel led the animation and visual effects department at CreativeTech - AUT, and produced this motion graphics video to showcase the success of the new multidisciplinary bachelor programme. Gabriel fuses fine arts illustration and prosthetics sculpting with motion graphics, motion capture, and visual effects animation. Students learn to visualize their prototypes and craft their research projects integrating 3D printing, robotics, and software programming.

students produce animation and visual effects PRODUCTION

Students majoring in animation and visual effects collaborated with Gabriel as the visual effects supervisor for a prehistoric adventure concept art production as part of their semestral project. To kick off the project - students visited Piha in Auckland New Zealand to capture valuable resources and materials from the real-world. Back in the studio, Gabriel and his students began the production scheduling and project costings - including marketing materials, film equipment and computing needs. The objective is to enable students to manage their projects from pre-production pitch to final delivery.
